Color options A, B and C: Our opals come in three color varieties. Option A showcases clear undertones, option B has white undertones and option C has more yellow undertones. Each option produces a stunning and unique fire that pops when paired with solid gold.
Care: Most opal jewelry can be cleaned with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush; no other cleaning solution should be used. Ethiopian opals love water and can absorb water from their environment. Avoid soaking your opals in water for an extended period of time as this can cause color change. If you need your opals to expel water, you can leave them on a window sill where they can take in sunlight. They should dry out within 24 hours.

What are treatments?
Natural gemstones are mined from the earth and come in a range of qualities. The quality of a gem is based on their color, cut, clarity and carat weight. Treatments are used to enhance earth mined gemstones to improve quality so that they can be used in jewelry.

How do I know a gemstone is natural?
All of our gemstones are handpicked by our GIA accredited gemologist. We are happy to offer a certificate of authenticity for any gemstone purchase from NNJ Designs. We can also send a gemstone to the GIA for certification.
We primarily deal in natural gemstones, but as lab grown gems increase affordability, we offer them on rare occassion. We will always disclose if a gemstone is natural or lab created.
Can one of your designs be cast to fit my center stone?
We can cast any of our designs to perfectly fit the shape and size of your center stone! Please share the dimensions of your gem along with the design that you are interested in and we will work up a quote.
